Perhaps you've taken the ferry over to Washington Island and wondered about the islands (Plum and Pilot) that you saw along the way, or maybe you saw someone proudly wearing their FOPPI gear in the grocery store or at the gas station, or maybe you heard someone bragging about the great time they had on Plum Island and you've thought about volunteering ... and why not? FOPPI volunteers are the best of the best! They work on various projects on Plum Island, learn about the US Fish & Wildlife Service, get in touch with nature, and immensely enjoy themselves while preserving and restoring the historic maritime structures on the islands.
