Our vision is for the boathouse to become the Refuge's welcome and education center.

 

We have begun a partnership with the Ridges Forest School, bringing children to the island to learn about nature in her wildest state.  In the future we plan the boathouse to be a place where they can conduct observations, discuss their findings and learn more about their natural world. 

 

In our vision, this iconic building could be a place to coordinate, facilitate, enhance and expand Refuge programs and have a space to relax, meet artists in this inspirational environment and get immersed in nature.
